‘The fish always stinks from the head’ – Ex-Formula 1 team boss hits out at Aston Martin owner Lawrence Stroll saying they’re ‘going nowhere’ under his leadership

Aston Martin are ‘going nowhere’ under Lawrence Stroll, according to former Formula 1 team boss Colin Kolles.

The Canadian billionaire took charge of the team back in 2018 with the target of gatecrashing F1’s elite, however this has proved harder to do that he first thought.

Last weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was the fourth consecutive race in which Aston Martin have failed to get a point on the board, meaning that it’s been a less-than impressive start to the 2022 campaign.

But while Sebastian Vettel is yet to make his first appearance of the new season, the man who was part of the team until 2008, Kolles, believes that the Silverstone team are going nowhere fast under Stroll.

Speaking to SPORT1, Kolles said: “It won’t work anymore.

“You have a team owner who thinks he is the team boss, who knows everything better and thinks he should put his son up front with all his might.
