Celebrity chefs plot $11,000 dining experiences at Las Vegas Grand Prix overlooking Bellagio Fountain

A three day ticket for the Hungarian Grand Prix can be bought for £88, at Las Vegas, things will be slightly more expensive.

Formula 1 rolls into Nevada on November 16 as CEO Stefano Domenicali’s most ambitious of plans finally comes to fruition after years of planning.

Formula 1 has long been about money, but Vegas is set to take things to a whole new level

Cars will be racing along the famous strip at more than 200mph, with a makeshift course to take over one of the United States most famous roads.

The buzz created has been extraordinary, and with Las Vegas being the gambling capital of the world, the 21st race of the 2023 season is going to be all about money.

Instantly becoming the most expensive ticket of the season, fans will have to pay £164 just for Thursday, when there isn’t any racing.

On F1’s official ticket portal, three day hospitality reaches £6500, but one famous hotel and casino has gone even further.

Famous for the water fountain scene in Ocean’s 11, The Bellagio is charging $11,247 [£9228] for a three-day package, and they’re trying to make sure race fans get their money’s worth.

The Bellagio Fountain Club sits right next to the track with cars flying past, but attendees may be distracted by what’s on their plate.

Celebrity chefs Alain Ducasse, Mario Carbone, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Masaharu Morimoto, Jose Andres, Christina Tosi, Rainer Becker, Bryan and Michael Voltaggio, David Chang, and Michael Mina will be providing the food across the weekend.

The group of chefs will be creating special dishes, and on top of that, the three podium fixtures on race day will be hosted at the hotel for the trophy ceremony and interviews.

Along with club access, attendees will have access to entertainment in the club space, and be able to book accommodation separately at MGM’s portfolio of resorts.

A total of 3600 fans will be able to buy tickets and chef Vongerichten has told the Financial Post what they’re in for.

“Vegas always has a lot of energy, but Formula 1 is even more perfect for Vegas because it’s a night race, so it’s gonna be fun,” he said.

“It’s very exciting to see everybody coming together—coming up with [their own] menu—and seeing friends from all over the world. I love these types of events.”
