‘No way!’ – Nico Rosberg refuses to sell Charles Leclerc’s new ice cream brand in his wife’s shop

Nico Rosberg has no intentions of selling Charles Leclerc’s new ice cream brand in his wife’s shop.

The Formula 1 legend is involved in the ice cream industry with his wife Vivian, owning a creamery in Ibiza’s old town.

And he has now been joined by Ferrari star Leclerc, who launched his new venture last week, creating LEC.

LEC is a low-calorie ice cream brand that will be sold in stores, with four different flavours available to buy.

With the 26-year-old now joining Rosberg in the same industry, they are set to compete against each other.

At the Chinese Grand Prix last weekend, the former F1 World Champion was asked what he thought about Leclerc’s business.

But despite being impressed with his new ’empire’, the German wasn’t keen on selling any for him.

Rosberg told Sky Sports “Yes, he has [joined the industry]. He’s gone a bit bigger than me though.

“I just have a shop. He’s built a whole empire.”

He was then asked whether he would be stocking LEC in his wife’s shop, to which he replied: “No way. Ours is much better. We’re in Ibiza!”

So it seems Leclerc and Rosberg won’t be working together with their ice cream ventures any time soon.

The pair were both at the Chinese Grand Prix for the weekend, with the latter on punditry duties.

During the Sprint Race, which was the first of the new season, Leclerc would duel with Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz, with Sainz forcing him off the track.

And despite their differences in the ice cream world, Rosberg was on the Monagasque’s side when it came to the incident.

“That’s fun as a spectator, but Carlos was over the limit,” he said. “He didn’t even try to catch the Apex. He was miles out and just drove Charles off the track.”

Fortunately for Leclerc, he would eventually finish fourth and ahead of his teammate in the Sprint and the Grand Prix.
